Sun Travel:
Before us, the lush green hills of the Johanna Valley rolled
gently down to a point where they met the Southern Ocean along
some of Victoria's most rugged coast. There was something hypnotic
about gazing on the ocean, and the panoramic views from the verandah
of the Boomerang Cabins, on the edge of the Otway Ranges, commanded
our attention.
Charles Hibbert.

Good Weekend - 52 Weekends Away:
Perhaps I've been a journalist too long, but the cynic in
me has a habit of scanning visitors' books for the most inane
comments. However, the book in Cabin 3 of Boomerang Cabins...held
a little cultural turning point. An Internet address is now an
adjective.
Views.com.au
one couple had written, and that said it
all. By day, you look out over forest in the Otway National Park,
sweeping Irish - green paddocks and the sea beyond. By night,
you sit inside and scan the heavens for the Southern Cross or
the Magellan Clouds. The word cabin does not do justice to the
three small houses...
Alice Ghent.
Summer - 2000: Vogue Entertaining and Travel
Magazine.
April - 2000: Dawsons Magazine:
The architecture of the cabins is superb... with sweeping
views over the Johanna Valley and Great Southern Ocean, the cabins
are ideal for those wanting luxury self - contained accomodation
in a magnificent setting...an experience out of the ordinary...but
with true Australian style.
June - 2000: Geelong Advertiser
- Geelong Today Magazine:
...a prime slice of the Otways...A set of three stunning self
- contained cabins...that will impress even the fussiest of holidaymakers...The
cabins are extremely spacious with...jarrah floorboards so perfectly
polished you can see yourself in them...nothing short of extraordinary...
Kylie Oliver.
June - 2000: The Age Escape
Lift out - Staying Inn:
Every cabin represents a veritable forest, from the jarrah
floorboards to the pine panelling...Even the chopping board is
made from four varieties of timber that grow in the Otways.
Nice touch: The fire burning on your arrival, and the leadlight
window in the shape of a boomerang.
Best bits: The three essentials for total relaxation: tranquility,
silence and the view.
Kathryn McNess.
2000: Lonely Planet - Victorian

Truly stunning. Very swish.

Autumn - 2001: Australian
Country Experience Magazine:
Swathes of gently-sloping pasture either side of a valley
merge together like interlocking fingers covered in green velvet.
Dairy cows, like those you'd find among farmyard animals in a
toy box, are dotted here and there. And the sun is shining, throwing
up metallic-blue highlights on the stretch of Southern Ocean
beyond the valley. Much more interesting than a cabin with four
walls, the boomerangs are at home among rugged beauty. The placement
of each cabin was exacting to ensure complete privacy. Impact
and style by the surf.
Michelle Ainley.
